It’s that time of year again.

All ballots are in, and this is what we, as a collective, have decided was the best in film in 2018. Now given our small sample size, some weird stuff was about to come out, but I have to say, I’m thrilled with this slate of nominees and winners.

All five DtHL writers were asked to provide 10 ranked nominees for Best Film, and up to five ranked nominees for every other category. Any given nominee had to have at least two scored votes to qualify for a nomination. Then, thanks to the magic of mathematics, a winner was declared in each category based on those ballots. Said winners are indicated in bold below.
